The Dynawrap Joy 450 is our most compact and cost-effective automated solution, engineered specifically for high-speed wrapping of small-profile products like aluminum extrusions, wood moldings, and piping. Utilizing a highly reliable Allen-Bradley control panel, the Joy 450 delivers industrial-grade durability and throughput without the premium price tag of fully customized enterprise systems.
Need complex line integration or powered pre-stretch? Compare this to our customized Pro Series 600.
EHS-Compliant Mechanical Tensioning:
The Joy 450 utilizes a highly reliable mechanical stretch tensioning system to entirely eliminate the severe ergonomic strain and laceration hazards associated with manually hand-wrapping sharp extrusions and metal profiles. This automated ring yields a consistent 50-70% pre-stretch, delivering tight, mathematically precise film application at up to 80 RPM while isolating operators from the active high-speed packaging zone.
Included Standard Features CE Certified
Intuitive, standard Rockwell automation interface. Includes remote access for instant factory-level PLC troubleshooting.
High-traction belt-driven system utilizing Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) for seamless upstream line speed-matching.
Dual infeed and outfeed top-down pneumatic presses keep long, thin metal and PVC profiles perfectly stable during transit.
Hands-free film termination paired with highly precise mechanical tension to safely encapsulate sharp edges without tearing.
Universal, Non-Proprietary Components
We refuse to trap you in a proprietary parts ecosystem. The Joy 450 is powered by an industry-standard Allen-Bradley PLC and built with globally sourced, off-the-shelf Tier-1 components (Schneider Electric, Omron). If a part is ever damaged on your floor, your maintenance team can source the exact replacement locally the same day. No black-box motherboards. No forced shipping delays. Absolute, cost-effective uptime.
Quality Assurance & Commissioning: Pre-shipment video verification / Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) available upon request for automated cell integrations. Every system ships with a full digital commissioning packet to streamline electrical and PLC deployment.
Eco-Friendly Paper Banding for Profiles
The Challenge: As building material manufacturers push towards zero-waste initiatives, packaging machinery must adapt. Finding a high-speed machine that can smoothly apply paper wrapping without jamming or tearing is a major obstacle.
The Solution: The compact Dynawrap Joy 450 is engineered to seamlessly run specialized eco-friendly paper banding instead of traditional plastic stretch film.
- Synchronized Relay: Because PVC moldings are slick and lightweight, the Joy 450 utilizes a dual pneumatic relay. The infeed press secures the profiles, and halfway through the cycle, the outfeed press engages before the infeed releases.
- Tear-Free Application: This perfect pneumatic handoff guarantees the bundle never shifts, ensuring the paper film is applied flawlessly without ripping.
- ESG Compliance: The cycle finishes with a clean automated cut, resulting in a perfectly unitized, plastic-free bundle that meets strict enterprise sustainability quotas.

Automated Wrapping with Custom Printed Film
The Challenge: Manufacturers often miss out on thousands of branding impressions by shipping products in blank, generic film. Manually taping labels or branding onto profiles takes too much time.
The Solution: The compact Dynawrap Joy 450 utilizing custom printed stretch film. The system features:
- Optical Sensor Triggers: As the PVC moldings are pushed into the wrap zone, optical sensors instantly trigger the pneumatic top-down presses to secure the load.
- Simultaneous Branding & Unitizing: The high-speed 450mm orbital ring applies custom-branded printed stretch film, transforming the product into a moving billboard while locking it tight.
- Rapid Cycle Completion: The automated film cut-and-clamp arm finishes the cycle in just 24 seconds, delivering a flawless branded bundle.
Turns bundles into billboards.
Auto-triggers top presses.
High-velocity throughput.

Securing Sharp Metal Drywall Beads
The Challenge: Packaging thin metal profiles like drywall corner beads is incredibly difficult. If tension is too loose, the heavy metal slides. If tension is too tight, the sharp steel corners slice right through the stretch film.
The Solution: The Dynawrap Joy 450 utilizing precision mechanical tension control. The process features:
- Continuous Flat Pressure: Dual infeed and outfeed top-down pneumatic presses keep the long, thin metal stack completely flat as it moves through the machine.
- Tear-Free Mechanical Tension: The 450mm ring applies high-speed orbital tension perfectly calibrated to encapsulate the sharp corners without tearing the barrier.
- Handler Protection: The finished bundle safely covers the sharp edges, protecting both the product finish and the material handlers who unload the truck.
Encapsulates without tearing.
Maintains profile alignment.
Covers dangerous corners.

Dynawrap LUMI™ 3D Algorithmic Vision (Optional)
Achieve true recipe-free autonomy with highly stable, non-black-box architecture. The optional LUMI™ System utilizes an Intel® depth-sensing 3D camera and a dedicated embedded controller housed in an industrial enclosure. As product enters the zone, the system executes volumetric scanning to determine exact geometry. The algorithm then automatically calculates and pushes the optimal wrapping parameters directly to the PLC. Operators simply select 'Optimum' or 'Heavy' protection modes, and the machine handles the rest.
Common Joy 450 Applications
Securely bundle multiple raw or painted metal profiles.
Protect delicate wood finishes, baseboards, and architectural trim.
High-speed bundling for PVC piping, steel conduit, and tubing.
Dust-proof containment for assembled window treatments and components.
Engineered for EHS Safety & Operator Ergonomics
Reduce training liabilities and cognitive load in high-turnover environments. The intuitive Allen-Bradley interface ensures safe, repeatable operations from Day One, eliminating manual tuning and creating a highly predictable, secure factory floor.
By utilizing a streamlined mechanical tensioner, the Joy 450 completely eliminates the repetitive strain injuries (RSI) associated with manual warehouse wrapping while drastically reducing the moving parts that require hazardous routine maintenance.

Recommended Stretch Film
The compact ring of the Joy 450 is optimized for 5" (125mm) Cast Clear Machine Film. For bundling sharp aluminum extrusions or raw lumber, we highly recommend upgrading to High-Performance Blown Film for tear resistance.
The Economics of Automation
By replacing inconsistent manual hand-wrapping with mechanized tension control, this system ensures every millimeter of stretch film is utilized to its maximum yield. Reduce your film consumption by up to 25% while eliminating the ergonomic liabilities, transit damage, and labor hours associated with manual load securing.
