Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) Machine Stretch Film

Our VCI stretch film is engineered with high-tech corrosion inhibitors that create a molecular protective layer on metal surfaces. It is the industry standard for wrapping steel, aluminum, and copper components, eliminating the need for protective oils and preventing rust during long-term storage or sea-freight transit.

Volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) stretch wrap adds chemical rust protection properties to a standard machine cast film. Essential when wrapping metal objects that can rust or corrode including, pipes, forms and metal furniture and frames.

Once the metal object is wrapped, the VCI chemicals in this special stretch film fill the air space between the film and metal – forming a protective layer around the metal. This layer blocks moisture, oxygen, salt and other pollutants that would otherwise cause a reaction. Even if the package is briefly opened for inspection, once it is resealed, the VCI protection re-saturates the metal – protecting it again.
