Ultraviolet Inhibitor (UVI) Machine Stretch Film
Our UVI-protected stretch film is engineered with advanced chemical inhibitors that prevent sunlight from degrading the film’s molecular structure. It is the industry standard for pallets stored in outdoor storage yards or transported on flatbed trailers where prolonged UV exposure is a factor.
Ultraviolet inhibitor (UVI) stretch wrap mitigates the damaging effects of UV rays which cause standard cast and blown stretch wrap to become brittle, “chalky” and break down within 30 days of consistent sun exposure.
UVI stretch film contains UV Stabilizers which as a “sunscreen” for the plastic, these additives absorb and reflect the UV radiation to protect the film and extend the outdoor life of the film up to 12 months. Because the film is protected from the sun, it maintains its “memory” and load containment properties.
Long-Term UV Protection for Outdoor Pallet Storage
UVI film is used to wrap pallets that spend time outdoors such as in the landscaping (pallets of mulch, soil or sod) and building materials industries (pallets of bricks, pavers, and bags of concrete), agricultural (bales of hay and farm equipment or parts) and export shipping. It’s also preferred for pallets that are stored in warehouses with windows and skylights where they are exposed to sunlight.
